Fitting a Short Shifter To a Mk1 Mazda MX-5: Is It ACTUALLY Worth It??? Hello guys, and welcome back to Car Obsession. Once more, I'm joined by 'Monique' my Mk1 Mazda MX-5. In this video I'm fitting a short shifter, as well as giving you my first impressions as to be honest, I've always been a bit sceptical as to whether a short shifter is actually worth it for an MX-5. The reason being is that the standard change is very good in its own right, so surely a short shift isn't going to add that much extra pleasure? Well, that's what this video is going to find out.
