Bishop Briggs Performs "River (10 Years Later)" | Exclusive Performance

Global alt-pop streaming sensation Bishop Briggs revisited her smash 2016 hit “River” by recording a completely new version on its tenth anniversary in 2026. Titled “River (10 Years Later),” the revamped track features an expansive, dynamic soundscape with textured vocals and cinematic instrumental layers. For this exclusive performance for Guitar Center, the song takes yet another path. Here, an extremely sparse and intimate version unfolds in Will Bates’ studio. Bates switches between piano, plucked piano strings and baritone saxophone as Briggs’ vocal progresses from gentle foreboding to a teeming caldron of emotion. BISHOP BRIGGS ON WHEN A SONG TELLS YOU IT’S READY “I think the sure test if a song is resonating is when you have a ‘day of’ demo—very early stages—and you're listening to it in the car, and you're very excited. You start coming up with dreams of what will happen with it. To me, that's the sure sign you're on to something. It doesn't mean the song will go anywhere, but it shows it feels authentic to you and your identity as an artist. That's worth holding on to.” Follow Bishop Briggs:   / bishopbriggs   Follow Will Bates:   / willbatescomposer   Follow Guitar Center:   / guitarcenter   #bishopbriggs #riverbybishopbriggs #guitarcenter #musicperformance Chapters 0:00 - How Do You Know When a Song is "Ready"? 0:44 - Reimagining Bishop's hit song "River" Ten Years Later 01:13 - Bishop Briggs Performs "River (10 Years Later)"
