Fixing stuck running boards on 2017 Ford Expedition

The motorized running boards on my 2017 Ford Expedition used to move freely. But over time, they started to act up - either getting stuck in the up or down position. Armed with a few cans of penetrating oil, we get them unstuck and working again! When spraying - use WAY MORE than you think you need. Really soak the hinges. After spraying, let it sit. Then repeat. All total, this fix too me several hours as I would spray and wait. And then wait some more. Let the penetrating oil do its job!
