The black-and-white aesthetic was deliberately chosen to strip the experience of everyday chromatic distractions, keeping the listener's absolute focus on the substance and ontology of the music. 🏛️ HISTORICAL AND ACOUSTIC CONTEXT The voice that gives life to this project belongs to the organ built by Johann Cyriacus Werner in 1743, located in the Pfarrkirche (Parish Church of Saint Nicholas) in Straßburg, in the Carinthia region, Austria, a temple erected between 1432 and 1460. With its original pipework virtually intact for over 280 years, the instrument preserves the authentic timbre, harmonic rawness, and integrity of the historical tuning of the period, having been restored by Orgelbau Pirchner in 1969.
