He also teaches from 1 John 2:6 that if we say we abide in Christ, we ought to walk as He walked — living the same life of power, love, and authority that Jesus demonstrated. Just as Joshua was commanded to meditate day and night to be successful (Joshua 1:8), believers today must take time to sit in God's presence, think about His promises, and hold fast to their confession of faith.
