Norton Atlas Project - Shep - Part 30 - Engine Disassembly - Part 11 Timing Case

Finally getting around to disassembling the engine starting with the timing case / chest. Crankshaft Oil pump worm gear nut (left-hand thread) Camshaft pinion / drive sprocket nut with slot for the tachometer drive / rev counter Cam chain tensioner and backing plates Magneto Auto Advance Unit Cam chain with camshaft pinion & intermediate pinion assembly Thrust washer from behind the intermediate gear 1/2 time pinion Woodruff keys on crankshaft 1/2 time pinion & camshaft pinion / drive sprocket Triangular washer / back plate for the crankshaft 1/2 time pinion Cup sealing washer behind the triangular washer Everything went very smoothly with no big surprises. The only adjustment required was to grind parts of the the ears off the 1/2 time pinion puller tool so that it could fit into the recess and behind the gear.
