E942 Glastonbury White Spring

One of the most popular springs in England, I chose to visit very early in the morning. The flow is slow, so it takes time to fill the containers. The quality is superb, and well worth the wait. Because it’s so popular, it’s a great place to meet people and make friends. The building housing the spring has been through many incarnations. In the 1990s there was a vegetarian restaurant on the first floor. Now it’s a temple full of water channels and a bathing place, illuminated by candles only.
