surha sain nimani ja lyrics Latif Sain singer faqeer imtiaz ali Muhammad Qasim Maka

Here is a detailed breakdown of the lyrics, their spiritual philosophy, and the artistic production of the song: 1. Spiritual and Allegorical Interpretation (The Lyrics) The verses are extracted from Sur Sasui (The Chapter of Sasui) in Shah Jo Risalo. While the literal story follows Sasui searching for her beloved Punhoon across the scorching deserts and treacherous mountains, Shah Bhittai uses this as an allegory for the human soul searching for the Divine. (Why do you wander into the wilderness? Why do you not search for the Beloved right here?) Explanation: The poet questions why we search for the Divine or ultimate truth in external, distant places—like jungles, deserts, or isolated shrines—while ignoring our own existence. (Latif says, the Baloch (Beloved) is not hidden away in some far-off land.) Explanation: The Ultimate Beloved (God) is not hiding in a distant universe or a foreign territory. He is accessible and closer than one thinks. (Be true, gird up your loins, and fulfill your vow of love with Punhoon.) Explanation: To find the truth, one must possess unwavering determination (Sati implies absolute devotion). Girding the loins (sandiro badhan) is a metaphor for gathering immense inner strength and staying committed to the path of love despite the hardships. (Lower your gaze and look within; the Beloved has made His abode inside you.) Explanation: This is the pinnacle of Sufi philosophy (Wahdat-al-Wajood or Unity of Existence). Bhittai tells the seeker to bow their head, look into their own heart, and self-reflect. The Divine Creator does not live outside; His true abode is within the human soul. This echoes the Quranic concept: "And He is within your own selves, will you not then see?" 2. The Refrain / Wai (سُرها ڙي سيڻ) "او منهنجا سُرها ڙي سيڻ نماڻيءَ جا، هتان ڪهڙي هوت لنگهيا" (Oh, the fragrant and noble kin of this humble soul, which way did the Beloved pass from here?) This recurring chorus (Wai) captures the absolute humility and longing of the seeker. Sasui asks the fragrant breeze, the mountains, and travelers if they have seen her Beloved. It represents the constant yearning, restlessness, and spiritual thirst of a devotee calling out to the Divine. Vocalist: Faqir Imtiaz Ali & Co. Faqir Imtiaz Ali Music Director: Muhammad Qasim Maka.
