Jeep Grand Cherokee Crank Sensor Replacement

I had a no start situation in the 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I thought it was the crankshaft position sensor but it turned out to be the camshaft cam shaft position sensor. These are also known as a hall effect sensor or a distributor pickup coil. This process should be very similar to the ZJ 1993 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998 93 94 95 96 97 98 Jeeps with the 4.0L 242 CID engine. It could also apply to the XJ YJ TJ vehicles but I have not worked on any of these models.
