How to Do 3D Style Acrylic Pour Over a Pop Bottle

I've been wondering and fiddling for a while now, trying to find the perfect way to make the same sort of designs as my favorite 3D style fluid artists. I've been cutting holes in yogurt pots, generally making a big mess. Then I saw a video from Sauve Arts where she used the bottom of a plastic pop bottle and it's perfect for this! I did cut some slits into the rim of mine, to try to get the paint to flow through to the center of the bottle as well as the outside, but it didn't turn out as well I would hope. I think you will need larger holes for the paint to flow inwards. Or perhaps do this on a canvas where the weight of paint will encourage it to flow more to the center.
