Александр Лерман: Как сложилась судьба солиста ВИА “Весёлые ребята”, который эмигрировал в США
Today, we recall the life and work of the famous Soviet musician, singer, and composer Alexander Anatolyevich Lerman, a member of legendary VIAs such as "Winds of Change," "Skomorokhi," "Vesyolye Rebyata," and the rock band "Araks." As the lead vocalist of "Vesyolye Rebyata," Alexander Lerman performed a number of famous hits that became popular in the Soviet Union: "Varshavsky Dozhd," "Ya Ne Poduy K Tebe," "At the Crossroads," "Dark-Browed Girl," and "Kogda Molchim Vdvoem." The singer also participated in the recording of Vesyolye Rebyata's first LP, "Love Is a Huge Country." Lerman is also known as a member of the ensemble "Dobry Molodtsy," directed by Seva Novgorodtsev. Alexander later joined the rock band "Araks" and simultaneously worked at the Lenin Komsomol Theater, where he participated in the production of the legendary play "Til." He also appeared in the comedy "Afonya," which later gained cult status. Alexander had a cameo role as a musician at a dance, performing the song "Memoirs." Another of his songs, "Po Etoy Stairs," was also featured in the film. And, of course, many will remember his work on David Tukhmanov's album "Po vomen moe memy," where he performed the song "Serdtse, moe serdtse." After emigrating to the United States, he became an American philologist, linguist, and specialist in Indo-European philology. He continued to pursue music. Lerman formed the band Sasha & Yuri with Soviet émigré Yuri Valov, a former member of such bands as "Skify" and "Golubye Gitary." #FunnyGuys #VIA #GoodWell done #Buffoons #Music
