The sunrise on July 7, 1954, in Dugri village, in the Malerkotla district of Punjab, announced Guruji's birth. Guruji spent his early life around Dugri, went to school and college there, and earned a bachelor's degree in economics and political science. People say that a spark of spirituality was present in him from childhood. It didn't take long for that spark to blossom into a full-fledged flame; Guruji's blessings began to alleviate the suffering of hundreds of thousands of people. Guruji began to sit in various places, including Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Panchkula, and New Delhi, and this was where the Satsang began. People from far and wide, from India and other parts of the world, would come to seek his blessings. Tea and langar prasad were served at Guruji's satsang, which were imbued with Guruji's special divine blessings and divine power. Those who sat near him and touched his feet benefited as much as devotees from any corner of the world. Most important was the devotee's complete self-surrender and unwavering faith in Guruji. Guruji was a giver; he never took anything from anyone, nor did he expect anything in return. Guruji would say, "I have done your welfare," and he would also say, "My blessings will always be with you." And "forever" didn't mean just in this life. He said that his blessings would remain with the devotee until his or her nirvana. Guruji never gave any sermons. He never prescribed any rituals. Yet, only the devotee can explain how his message reached the devotee. This special "connection" not only brought joy and inspiration to the devotee, but also brought about a profound transformation. The devotee reached a level where joy, fulfillment, and peace were easily found together. Guruji's divine fragrance surrounded him, as if roses were blooming. Even today, his fragrance reminds his devotees of Guruji's presence. On May 31, 2007, Guruji attained Mahamadhi. He left no successor, because divine light has no successor. He said that the devotee should connect with Guruji directly, and that too through prayer and meditation. Guruji has a temple, known as the Bade Mandir. This temple is located near Bhati Mines in South Delhi.
