The Shitamachi Tanabata Festival will be held on Kappabashi Hondori from Friday, July 4th to Tuesday, July 8th, 2025. The main days of the event are Saturdays and Sundays. The roads will also be closed to vehicles. The Metropolitan Police Department's motorcycle police queen stars, the music band color guard, the drum corps, and the local elementary school drum and fife corps.
