The journey to Lombok begins from Padang Bai Harbor, Bali, then continues to Lembar Harbor, Lombok. What should have been a four-hour trip took seven hours due to the long school holidays, Christmas, and New Year, making the roads extremely congested. 1. Al Haddad Al Hamdrami. One of the places we visited at the start of our trip in West Nusa Tenggara was the Batu Layar tomb, located on Jl. Raya Senggigi, Batu Layar Village, Batu Layar District, West Lombok Regency. From this tomb complex, you can clearly see the surrounding tourist attractions, along with the beautiful ocean, separated by a highway. 2. The tomb of Habib Husen Bin Umar Al-Mansyur. The Bintaro tomb complex is approximately 200 meters from the main road, located at Jl. Saleh Sungkar No. 93, North Ampenan, Ampenan District, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara. To enter the tomb complex, you pass through a large gate marking the location of the tomb. The entrance to the tomb is paved with concrete. The tomb of Habib Husen bin Umar is protected by a semi-open structure. The upper wall is made of iron trestles, so Habib Husen's tomb is still clearly visible from outside. This building is relatively small, so some pilgrims choose to pray from outside. 3. Maulana Syeich Gauz Abdurrazak The Loang Baloq tomb is located on Jalan Karang, Sekarbela District, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara. This tomb houses several saints considered sacred by local residents, including the tomb of Maulana Syeich Gauz Abdurrazak and the tomb of an orphan. 4. NTB Islamic Center Mosque This magnificent mosque stands on 7.76 hectares of land and has four floors. At the front are five minarets, one of which is 99 meters high. The tallest minaret symbolizes the 99 names of Allah, or Asma'ul Husana. The most unique feature of this mosque is its dome, which features the distinctive Sasambo batik pattern. The abbreviation for Sasak, Samawa, and Mbojo, symbolizes the three ethnic groups inhabiting the islands of Lombok and Sumbawa. 5. Tuan Guru Haji Muhammad Shaleh Hambali. His grave is located in the Darul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School area, Bengkel Village, Labuapi District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. His grave is surrounded by a large pavilion (kungkup) to accommodate all worshippers. The grave is separated by an iron trellis with a brown and green mosquito net. Faintly, his name and date of death are inscribed on the tombstone. On the wall of the pavilion is an inscription in Arabic Pegon, containing a will and message for all the people of Lombok. 6. Tuan Guru Haji Muhammad Najmudin Makmun. His grave is located in the Islamic boarding school complex in Praya Village, Labuapi District. Praya, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. To reach his tomb, you must pass through the main gate of the Darul Muhajirin Foundation complex. Then walk approximately 150 meters. The shrine that houses TGH M. Najmudin's tomb is quite large, with a completely permanent structure. His gravestone is made of green ceramic and the monument is light brown. To separate the pilgrims, iron railings with white curtains are installed. Several photos of him from his youth are also displayed on the walls of the shrine. 7. The sacred tomb of Sheikh Alwi Al-Baghdadi. This tomb is located in Cemare Village, Lembar District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. What's unique about this tomb is its location on the coast, which is deeper into the sea, so it's often submerged during high tide. To reach the tomb, you can take a fisherman's boat for 15,000 Rupiah per person and take approximately 20 minutes. His tomb is sheltered by a unique and beautiful small mosque. Especially in the evening, approaching dusk, you'll see a truly beautiful scene. So, that concludes our journey exploring the tombs of these great saints and scholars on the island of Lombok.
