「地下3階の空港線⇔地下5階の七隈線」歩いてみたら2分39秒だった~博多駅でホーム乗り換え

The extension of Fukuoka City's Nanakuma Subway Line will open on March 27th. At Hakata Station, for the first time on the Airport Line and Nanakuma Line, passengers will be able to move between platforms without passing through ticket gates. It took just 2 minutes and 39 seconds to walk from the existing Airport Line platform on the third basement floor to the newly constructed Nanakuma Line platform on the fifth basement floor. A moving walkway has also been installed along the route, and residents have praised it for its comfort. For Nanakuma Line users, this will significantly improve access to Hakata Station and the airport, raising expectations. ◆Get a sneak peek inside the new station The newly completed Hakata Station on the Nanakuma Subway Line. Ahead of the opening of the extension, the interior was opened to the press and residents selected by lottery. RKB Honda Nanaka: "The Nanakuma Line is connected to Hakata Bus Terminal, JR, and the Shinkansen, and has an open atrium. It really feels spacious." At Hakata Station on the Nanakuma Line, the ticket gates are located on the fourth basement floor near JR Hakata Station Plaza, and the platform is located on the fifth basement floor. Meanwhile, the subway Airport Line platform is located on the third basement floor, a distance of approximately 150 meters. Transfers are possible without passing through a ticket gate. RKB Honda Nanaka: "This is the Airport Line platform. I'm heading to the Nanakuma Line. I took the escalator down and saw a green pictogram. Proceeding further, I found myself on a moving walkway." A 55-meter-long "moving walkway" has been installed in the transfer passage on the fourth basement floor. This makes it easy for elderly passengers and those with small children to move around. Take the escalator down at the end to arrive at the Nanakuma Line platform. RKB's Honda Nanaka: "I'm already at the platform. 2 minutes and 39 seconds. It went by so quickly." ◆ Significantly improved convenience rejoices residents Transferring between the Airport Line and Nanakuma Line at Tenjin Station previously required a 600-meter walk after exiting the ticket gate, dramatically improving access. We asked residents who actually experienced the transfer for their impressions. Residents selected by lottery shared their thoughts: "It was fast," "It was cool!" "The previous transfer was a long way away, so it's nice to have direct access from one platform to the next." The Nanakuma Line will open an extension from Tenjin-Minami Station to Hakata Station on the 27th of this month. The distance is approximately 1.6 kilometers, and the journey time is only 3 minutes, about 2 minutes faster than traveling from Tenjin Station to Hakata Station on the Airport Line. ◆ New universities will also be added to the "commuting area" According to the Fukuoka City Transportation Bureau, the extension will reduce travel time from each Nanakuma Line station to Hakata Station by approximately 14 minutes. Mayor Takashima said, "Hakata is a good place for business, and Tenjin is a good place for shopping. I hope that people will travel back and forth between the two cities, and that their respective functions will intermingle." JR transfers will also become more convenient. Some students who commute from far away to Fukuoka University and Nakamura Gakuen University are starting to stop living alone and switch to commuting to school. Fukuoka City will advance the first train on the Nanakuma Line by 15 minutes and delay the last train by 15 minutes to ensure that people can catch the first and last trains on the Shinkansen and conventional lines. It is expected that more people will switch from buses and cars to the subway, and the number of users of the extended Nanakuma Line is expected to increase to approximately 80,000 people per day.
