Ep 19 Borrowdale CAMC in Lake District
We have a fabulous break at Borrowdale Caravan and Motorhome club site. Borrowdale CAMC is situated right on the edge of Derwent Water in the Lake District. The dogs walked with us up Cat Bells - bit of a scramble in a couple of places but easily manageable by the dogs. We also walked to Lodore Falls and had a pub meal at The Mary Mount Hotel in Borrowdale. The road into the site was a bit narrow over the bridge but we managed it in our A class mobilvetta k yacht. Borrowdale CAMC is a very relaxing tranquil site and would recommend people to visit. You can walk all the way around Derwent Water and up to Keswick, which we have done previously and is well worth doing. Keswick has many pubs that you can visit but it is usually very busy.
