I want to tell you about what happened on the day of my master's degree in engineering. I hope this video will move and inspire you. ⚠️DISCLAIMER: Clearly, I was well aware that I would never get 7 points for my thesis. I simply set myself a "goal" for the day to give myself a little boost, given the psychological state I was in heading into this important day. (Thesis papers that earn 7 points are on a whole different level, and I absolutely recognize that, even if I still think 2 points are a bit low.) Please consider that the "bad" professor is simply a narrative device to make the story more compelling. In fact, that professor is certainly a highly competent professional who simply did his job to the best of his ability. I also understand the nature of his questions; I was unable to communicate that certain topics had not been explored in depth in the thesis. In general, whether or not one agrees with the evaluation methods, what really matters is accepting the fact that you can't always be 100%, and you need to have the intellectual honesty to recognize those moments when you're not performing as well as you'd like.
