How Is This Car Even Legal?! (Caterham 340S POV)

A year later, I’m back behind the wheel of the Caterham 340S… and it’s just as insane as I remembered. No doors, no roof, no filters... just pure, mechanical driving on some of my favorite roads. In this POV drive I take the Caterham out for a proper mountain run, pushing it through tight corners, feeling every bump, every vibration, and that completely raw connection to the road. It’s one of those cars that makes everything else feel distant... and honestly, it still makes you question how something like this is even legal. (I love that it is tho haha) For this drive I planned the route using the Mivia app, which makes it easy to find and drive incredible roads (and the exact road in my Videos): 👉 https://referral.getmivia.app/r/james... Huge thanks to Kumschick Sportscars for making this drive possible again. If you’re in Switzerland, you can actually rent this exact Caterham: 👉 https://kumschick.ch/sport-cars/vermi... 👉 https://kumschick.ch/ If you enjoy raw POV driving, lightweight sports cars, and real driving experiences — this is what it’s all about. #Caterham #POVDrive #testdrive DISCLAIMER: I always obey the speed limits! Speed limits typically range from 30 to 120 km/h, with some sections of the German Autobahn being unrestricted. For reference, my speedometer reads approximately 10% higher than my actual speed (e.g., 90 km/h on the speedometer = 80 km/h GPS). This video is edited for cinematic effect and does not reflect real-world speeds. Safety is my top priority—both for myself and others. I remain in full control of my vehicle at all times. I always brake within my line of sight and stay within my lane on corners. On public roads, I never push my cars beyond 70-90% of their limits. These Alpine roads are incredibly fun to drive—even within the speed limits. Many of the corners are so tight that you wouldn’t be able to reach the limit anyway! Drive safe and enjoy the roads! Cheers!
