(4K) CAF B-17 "Texas Raiders" Start-up and Takeoff
As I go through more footage, it turns out that I recorded in good detail the B-17 Texas Raider on various occasions, including this particular one. In honor of the crew, here's a video that shows the start-up, taxi and takeoff sequence of the Texas Raider back in July. This was filmed on 7/2/22 at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (KAUS/AUS). The Texas Raiders, along few other warbirds, were part of the Austin Warbird Expo 2022, held from 2-4th of July at the airport. During this event, you can sign up of flight on warbirds such as the B-17. However, the flight shown in this video was actually a familiarization flight for part of the crew. Here's the official statement from the Commemorative Air Force (CAF): On Saturday, November 12, two aircraft were involved in a mid-air collision at Dallas Executive Airport. The aircraft were a B-17 Flying Fortress and P-63 Kingcobra, both out of the Houston area. Currently we do not have information on the status of the flight crews as emergency responders are working the accident. The Commemorative Air Force is working with local authorities, the FAA, and the NTSB will conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with those involved in the accident and their families. _________________________ SOCIAL MEDIA Facebook: / bluerockerpr Instagram: / bluerockerpr _________________________ EQUIPMENT Camera: Panasonic HC-X1500 Microphone: H&A Compact Shotgun Condenser Microphone _________________________ If you are interested in any usage of my videos, please contact me at the address given in my channel's contact details.
