As we arrived in Twee Riviere, we were immediately struck by the beauty of the small village. The town is charming and picturesque, with a quaint old-world aqueduct system that carries fresh mountain water to every home. It's incredible to see how this ingenious system has been in place for so many years. We learned that Twee Riviere has been around since 1765, and it has grown into a thriving village with homes, barns, and paddocks. As we explored the village, we couldn't help but admire the natural surroundings. Situated in the Langkloof Valley, Twee Riviere is part of one of the most scenic sections of Route 62, with stunning mountains and valleys as a backdrop. The peacefulness and rural qualities of the area were so refreshing. We felt like we could just relax and breathe in the fresh country air.
