Camping Barcelona in Mataro. top Ausgangsort für den Besuch in Barcelona, eigenständig oder per Bus
We chose Camping Barcelona in Mataro, just north of Barcelona, as our base for our visit to Barcelona. The campsite offers a very good package. This includes a bus transfer from the campsite to Barcelona and back, with two departure times to choose from. At reception, you can purchase a ticket for the so-called sightseeing tours, which you then exchange for the required ticket when boarding the bus. So, you can arrange everything through the campsite reception. We only realized too late that there are three companies offering these tours, so we initially stood in the wrong queue. Look at the bus pictured on the ticket from reception. This is only valid for the company with the bus livery shown. You also have to use the correct bus stops to get on and off along the way. Due to the circumstances, the only option for us was the bus tour, which doesn't involve boarding or disembarking. But even then, we didn't have enough time to do both of the offered tours. We initially opted for the red route, which takes a good 2.5 hours. We then only had time for the Sagrada Familia, which is on the blue route. This tour takes about 2 hours. If you want to see more of the area, you'll need to plan two days for Barcelona. It's cheaper if you buy a two-day ticket. The bus that takes us from the campsite into Barcelona, near a tour stop, departs at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The return trip is available at 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The respective times must be specified when booking, and they will then be shown on the ticket. Booking via the campsite's website was easy. A free shuttle bus service takes you to Mataro, to the beach, or to the train station. From the train station, you can reach Barcelona by suburban train, or other locations along the railway line.
