How to Paint a Beautiful Sunset in Watercolour with Fisherman & Sea Birds, Easy Watercolor Tutorial

In this video I'll be demonstrating how to paint a beautiful sunset over the ocean from a reference photo, with a silhouetted fisherman and some sea birds. Are they geese or cormorants? Or perhaps something entirely other? You tell me! My reference photo for this piece was from a website called Pixabay.com, it's an image hosting site containing a huge variety of free use reference photos, and as such can be an invaluable resource for artists! Equipment list: today I'm using Saunders Waterford cold pressed watercolour paper, size a quarter of an imperial sheet (so roughly A3), it's 140lb weight and 100% cotton, and very lovely to use! My paints are: quinacridone gold (also known as quin gold), cadmium orange, light red, burnt umber, and ultramarine. All my paints are Winsor & Newton Cotman colours, except for the quin gold, which is from the Winsor & Newton Professional range. My brushes are: an extra-large Ron Ranson hake brush from Pro Arte (I used this for wetting the paper at the start of the video - honestly, any large brush would do!), a 1 inch Princeton Neptune synthetic mottler brush, an Escoda Ultimo synthetic mop brush size 10, a Mastertouch Aquamarine Watercolour synthetic flat brush size 2, and a Masterstroke Series 60 miniature brush from Pro Arte size 4/0 for the fine detail.
