Nevada Northern Railway October 2021 Part 1

In honor of Trains Magazine's 81st Birthday, the Nevada Northern Railway offered to host a photo charter with the magazine, featuring the Railway's newly-restored steam locomotive, NNRY #81. NVRRP was quick to jump at the opportunity to both explore another fascinating steam operation, as well as to support these two wonderful entities. From October 8th-10th, the Railway set to work offering world-class photo opportunities for the charter to partake in. We joined in, gathering as much of this unique opportunity as possible. I have compiled it all into this series, covering many recreations of what one may have been able to witness along this beautiful Railroad back in the early-mid 20th Century. In Part 1, watch as NNRY #81 departs the busy East Ely yard with a small freight bound for the mining area of Ruth. From there, we are treated to a superb demonstration featuring he Railway's steam-powered crane. Come along as we take a step back in time along the world-famous Nevada Northern Railway! Rate.
