17- Sri Lanka Malezya Etabı

The wind we'd been patiently waiting for finally arrived, and we cast off the lines from Galle harbor. Outside the harbor, we'd been waiting for a month for the southwest monsoons. Now, the monsoons are waiting for us. "Come on, Natika," he says, "let me quickly throw you east." These winds have been blowing from the southwest between June and September for thousands of years. The adventure begins at night, tangled in fishing nets 30 miles offshore, and we struggle through the morning. But we're in high spirits, unharmed, and we're barely escaping the maze of dozens of fishing nets, flying our way to Malaysia.
