Anti-Zionism as the New Antisemitism - a Judaism 3.0 debate

Over the past year, the Begin Center has partnered with Judaism 3.0 for a series of high-level conversations on various aspects of the Judaism 3.0 thesis; about the centrality of Zionism to Judaism, the shifts in Israeli society, geopolitical implications, and much more. For this last event of the Jewish year, a few days before Rosh Hashana, we held one last great debate of the year. In his book, Judaism 3.0, Gol Kalev shows how anti-Zionism and Israel-bashing has become today’s existential threat to Judaism. He argues that a broad recognition that Judaism has transformed and Zionism is now its anchor, would dramatically mitigate this existential threat. He debated this thesis with special guests Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, the deputy mayor of Jerusalem; and Uri Zaki, chairman of the Herzl Center. The moderator was Begin Center Senior Fellow, Paul Gross.
