Chief Zink also said: “We’re now able to control access to different areas of the building. For example, our evidence room — it’s now controlled based on who gets to get in there at what time.” Deputy Chief Justin Dole highlighted the operational improvement: “The biggest thing is making sure that we could get that video as quickly as possible. This new process is going to cut the time to a few minutes.” This project included new AXIS cameras, AXIS access-control hardware, upgraded card readers, improved camera placement, and specialty police interview-room camera/audio controls.
