32m cyberfraud attacks in Singapore last year, mostly bots targeting e-commerce payments: Report

A cybercrime report has shown that Singapore received 32 million fraud attacks last year. According to data analytics firm LexisNexis, this was driven by a surge in digital transactions post-pandemic, which opened up more opportunities for cyber criminals to exploit loopholes. Most of these attacks were carried out by automated bots, which target e-commerce payment transactions. Bot attacks in Singapore jumped 146% -- more than five times the global average.
