SQE TV | Episode 6 | Cheaper SQE Courses can be less affordable
Welcome to Episode 6 of SQE TV, where we're looking at SQE course funding. Jonny unpacks the premise that for many self-funding candidates, cheaper courses are often harder to finance than a more expensive Masters. The reason for this is that only SQE Masters courses are eligible for a loan from Student Finance. Although you will eventually have to start making repayments to Student Finance, you can spread the repayments over a much longer period and at lower rates of interest than a private loan. Consequently, minimising any sums you borrow under a private loan is key to many candidates, which is illustrated in the case studies in this video. If you have any questions on the funding your SQE course, drop a comment below and Jonny can get back to you. Don't forget to like and subscribe to SQE TV to ensure you don’t miss an episode every Wednesday afternoon.
