The Edgar Winter Group is an American rock band formed in late 1972 by multi-instrumentalist Edgar Winter, who brought together Dan Hartman, Ronnie Montrose, and Chuck Ruff. Known for blending rock, blues, and jazz, the group achieved massive success with their 1973 debut album, They Only Come Out at Night, which peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 200 and featured the #1 instrumental hit "Frankenstein" and the Top 15 single "Free Ride." Edgar, a Texas-born musician with albinism, innovated by inventing the keyboard body strap, enhancing his dynamic stage presence. The band's follow-up, Shock Treatment (1974), with Rick Derringer replacing Montrose, also earned praise but didn’t match the debut’s commercial heights. Though mainstream success waned after the 1970s, their music remains a radio staple, and Edgar continues to tour and influence rock history. ‪@GrantsRockWarehaus‬ Check out Grant’s Rock Warehaus at the following: FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?...
