Hamburg U-Boat Pen RAF Tallboy Bomb Attack - Deep Dive Review
In April 1945, the RAF attacked the Hamburg Fink II U-boat pens with 15 tallboy bombs and 2 grand Slam bomb. 6 of the Tallboys struck the roof of the pen facility and 4 struck the soil around the pens. All of the tall boy bombs malfunctioned and prematurely detonated more of less on contact. Their 25 second time delay fuses did not function. The damage from all 10 strikes was considered minor.
