Extreme E · Round 10 - El día decisivo para definir al campeón de la temporada

Extreme E reached its championship finale with two title contenders for the 2023 season: Rosberg X Racing and Acciona Sainz XE Team, who arrived at this final race just six points behind the leader. The day began with a strong Acciona Sainz XE Team securing pole position and heading into the final race with a single mission: to win. A nail-biting final race saw a solid Team Veloce take the victory, Neom McLaren retire, and Rosberg X Racing, one of the title contenders, suffer a tire damage. With that scenario unfolding, the championship was practically a foregone conclusion for Acciona Sainz XE, who only needed to reclaim the first position snatched away in the second stint by Team Veloce. However, in an attempt to overtake Molly Taylor, Laia Sanz lost control of her Odyssey21, spinning a couple of times before rolling over and being definitively forced out of the race. At that moment, the championship hopes returned to the Rosberg X Racing team, but their right front wheel was severely damaged. Driver Mikaela Ahlin-Kottulinsky had to reduce her speed to the absolute minimum to get the car to the finish line, the only thing necessary to secure the 2023 championship. Thus, the final laps felt like an eternity for the drivers, teams, and guests present until she finally crossed the finish line, confirming that the Rosberg X Racing team was crowned champion of the 2023 Extreme E season. #Motorsport #ExtremeE
