Etobicoke: Raw half-hour footage of 401 blizzard ordeal at Islington overpass 1-17-2022

Raw half hour video compilation of trucks, big rigs, tractor trailers, buses and cars stuck in snow after 50 centimeters of it accumulated in the span of half a day in Toronto, Canada. On Sunday night January 16th 2022 snow started to fall on the GTA following a storm that had been in the forecast for days. In the following 12 hours, a whopping 50 cm of snow fell and accumulated on buildings and roadways across Toronto, rendering the city completely inoperable. Overwhelmed emergency services were sometimes spotted while numerous pedestrians abandoned their vehicles and walked away in the storm. Surprisingly, no injuries or death were reported since the start of the storm that still is affecting the city almost a week later. On Monday evening January 17th when these images were filmed at 10h pm, hundreds of vehicles can be seen trapped in snow on the freeway and unable to move at the Islington Avenue on and off ramp from Highway 401.
