Tupolev TU-134A-3 – From Arkhangelsk to Pulkovo with Rossiya

In the late 2000s the TU-134 was getting increasingly rarer, but still was around in adequate numbers to book a flight on the aircraft. The overall impression of the TU-134 is a classic era jet airliner feeling, and while Easy Jet and Ryanair with their Boeings and Airbus already raped the magic of jet air travel in Europe, the Russian beauties still roamed free in the Skies! Even on shorter hops, full service meals were offered. Unfortunately these times have also gone by in Russia as well. But there is no reason to not remember these glorious days of civil air travel! The trip to Arkhangelsk was only for the purpose of flying this airliner, but also the town on the shores of Dvina river turned out to be a very interesting day trip destination. The nature of Russia is astonishing beautiful! During summertime the sun is shining at midnight, it has cosy 28 degrees and alongside the beautiful sand beaches the river carries still some ice! And every once in a while, back in the days, a Tushka thundered by!
