Always turn off the power and turn the circuit breaker off. 2. Prepare cleaning equipment. High-pressure water sprayer. Adjust the nozzle so that the water isn't too strong, as this can damage the fins. Connect a hose from the faucet to the high-pressure water sprayer. Blower: Use it to blow water out of the fins and dry them. Canvas Toothbrush Screwdriver 3. Disassemble the air conditioner. Remove the cover. Remove the air filter. Remove the up and down swing doors. Remove the left and right swing doors or the air direction control (if removing the drain pipe, this is optional). (Because it's already attached to the drain pan.) Remove the two screws holding the frame. Remove the frame by pulling it up and moving it back and forth until it comes loose. Remove the drain pan by first removing the two screws and disconnecting the wires connected to the swing motor attached to the gutter. 6. Start spraying water to clean the cooling coil. Use a screwdriver to prevent the squirrel cage fan from spinning, both while spraying water and while using a blower to dry it. Spray water to clean both the front and back of the radiator. (The lower part is quite difficult to clean, especially if the air conditioner is close to the ceiling.) Spray water to clean the squirrel cage fan. Use a blower to dry the radiator and squirrel cage fan. (Don't forget to use a screwdriver to scrub it.) 7. Clean the hot coil. Spray water at a 45-degree angle. Clean the air filter. Clean the drain pan. Be sure to remove the swing motor first for easy cleaning. Once finished, reassemble. Assemble the drain pan first. Be sure to properly connect the power cord to the swing fan.
