We're driving our motorhome to the Alpujarras on the southern flank of the Sierra Nevada. Our destination is the town of Trevélez, home to the Serrano ham production facility. It's not really a destination for the quasi-vegetarians we've become, but it's somehow a must-see. Before we arrive in Trevélez, we first have to fight our way past the sea of ​​plastic in El Ejido – not a particularly pleasant sight. After that, the long uphill drive begins, but the many bends are compensated for by the many beautiful views. In Trevélez, ham shops line up one after the other, and you can hardly miss the Serrano ham. While there's nothing going on in the evening, the next morning there's a lot of hustle and bustle, and we escape towards Granada.
