Celebrating 188th Birth Anniversary of Rishi Bankim Chandra Chatterjee

On the occasion of the 188th Birth Anniversary of Rishi Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, Victoria Memorial Hall commemorated the life and legacy of one of India's greatest literary luminaries on 26 June 2026 through a series of cultural and creative events that celebrated his enduring contribution to the nation's intellectual and cultural heritage. The commemorative programme began at the Eastern Quadrangle with a floral tribute to the revered litterateur. The event was graced by Padmashree Tarun Bhattacharya as the Chief Guest and Smt. Nilanjana Roy, Central Secretary, Sanskar Bharati, Bharat, in the presence of Dr. Sayan Bhattacharya, Secretary & Curator, Victoria Memorial Hall, who felicitated the distinguished guests.
