NC State took it to the Huskies, upsetting the number two team in the country, 92-81. This was the Wolfpack's first win over UConn since 1998. NC State was able to beat UConn on the boards, outrebounding them 40-27 resulting in a 12-4 second-chance points advantage. Other than the upset, the story of the game was NC State's Soniya Rivers. Rivers had an outstanding game with 33 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and three steals. Aziaha James added 18 points, four rebounds, and two assists. For UConn, Paige Bueckers had 27 points and Aaliya Edwards scored 21 points.
