Filtre Yok, CO2 Yok! Toprakla Walstad Akvaryum Kuruyorum

Today we're setting up a Walstad aquarium without a filter or CO2 support. Unlike classic planted aquariums, this setup uses pure soil as the substrate, topped with fine-grained river sand. The goal is to create a small ecosystem similar to the bottom of a natural lake, where plants, soil, and time work together. In the video, I demonstrate the basic principles of the Walstad method, soil selection, soil sifting, sand layering, decor placement, and plant planting step by step. This tank has no filter and no CO2 support. The main load of the system will be carried by the plants, aquatic plants, soil, and time. Plants I'm using: Nomaphila Siamensis, Sycamore, Willow, Limnophila Sessiflora, Subulata, Cryptocoryne Wendtii Brown, and Hydrocotyle Tripartita. In Walstad setups, it's important to use fast-growing, low-requirement, and hardy plants. Also, aquatic plants are very effective at nitrate consumption, which is a great advantage in these kinds of natural setups. After the setup is complete, we don't rush to let the tank balance out. I plan to wait about 8 weeks before adding any live creatures to this aquarium. Initially, it's healthier to support the system with snails and invertebrates. If you want to set up a natural, low-tech planted aquarium that's trying to find its own balance, this video might give you some ideas. #Walstad #PlantedAquarium #AquariumSetup #FilterlessAquarium #LowTechAquarium #UnderwaterAcademy
