Shore Mall: Remnants of a Long-Gone Dead Mall

Come along as I check out what remains of Shore Mall in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This mall was originally an open-air shopping center called Searstown, which opened in 1968. It was enclosed and expanded in the 70s, becoming Shore Mall, and was successful into the 80s, but began to decline when the nearby Hamilton Mall opened in 1987. After a very slow death, it finally closed at the end of 2012, with most of the mall being demolished in 2013. It has since been renamed Harbor Square, returning to its roots as an outdoor center, but there are still a few remnants of the old mall. #deadmall #abandoned #newjersey
