Paddling the Shenango: PA's 2021 River of the Year

We are on the Shenango River and it is spring Paddlefest 2024. Hosted by the Shenango River Watchers, Paddlefest is a great way to experience a fun-filled paddle adventure on the river with hundreds of other paddle enthusiasts. Whether you kayak, canoe, or paddleboard, the river offers a scenic, winding, and exciting adventure. The Fall Paddlefest takes place on Saturday, September 28, 2024, launching from Pymatuning State Park between 7:30am to 10am travelling 9 miles down to Riverside Park. 📍Flowing in Western PA (and a small portion of northeastern Ohio) the Shenango is a 100-mile-long tributary of the Beaver River. 🛶 Today’s paddle begins at the Pymatuning State Park in Jamestown, PA located at: https://maps.app.goo.gl/UoH4ULwVgp38b... 🛶 And ends at Riverside Park in Greenville, PA located at: https://maps.app.goo.gl/WFipVxMYYznQ3... It was a fast & swift flow, and we were told some water had been released at the dam for this event. So, it was running higher and faster than typical.
