The Real Reason We Came All This Way... | PART 2 - Barafu, Namiri Plains

Sometimes the journey isn't about where you're going, but who you're remembering along the way. What started as a return to the Serengeti became an opportunity to reconnect with a chapter of my family's history that means more to me than I can put into words. In Part 2 of this journey, my family and I travel through Barafu and the Namiri Plains, retracing the route of two significant expeditions my father made decades ago alongside my late grandparents and uncle. As we revisit these landscapes, old stories resurface, memories are shared, and we gain a deeper understanding of the experiences that shaped both my family and our lifelong connection to wildlife. Along the way, we encounter some remarkable moments in the wild and learn more about my father's pioneering work studying cheetahs in the Serengeti, stories that have been passed down through generations and continue to inspire my own path as a photographer and storyteller. This episode is a tribute to family, to memory, and to the people who help us see the world differently long after they're gone.
