Vidur, distraught by the separation from his beloved Lord Krishna, asks Uddhav about news of Dwarka. "O Uddhav! Is our beloved Lord Krishna well? Are the residents of Dwarka happy?" But upon hearing this question, Uddhav falls silent... The pain of separation wells in his eyes and an unspoken storm rages in his heart. A few moments later, Uddhav's gaze falls on a divine mark on Vidur's thigh— that mark is of Krishna's earrings. Uddhav, astonished, asks— "O father! How did this divine mark appear on your thigh?" Then, with utmost humility and emotion, Vidur explains, “When Lord Krishna came to Hastinapur with a peace proposal between the Pandavas and the Kauravas, he visited my humble hut. After the meal, the Lord rested his head on my thigh…” Hearing this, the atmosphere becomes filled with Krishna.
