Steam Train Revival 🇪🇷 Eritrea’s Railway Rides Again!

This was no ordinary train ride — it was a journey back in time. 🇪🇷 I boarded a rare Italian-built steam train from the 1930s, running from Asmara to Arbaroba Station — named after the market days “Wednesday Friday.” This was the first time the train operated since 2019, and the excitement in the air was real — not just from us, but from the locals who gathered along the tracks, waving and cheering as the steam engine roared to life again. Winding through Eritrea’s dramatic highlands, this route offered stunning landscapes, tunnels, and dizzying mountain views. A forgotten railway brought back to life — and I was lucky enough to ride it. This is one of the most unique train experiences in the world. 🇮🇹🇪🇷 Timestamps: 0:00 - Asmara Railway Station 0:41 - Train Departure 3:34 - Arbaroba 6:07 - Return Ride 12:23 - Back in Asmara 💬 Comment your thoughts & experiences! ❤️ Subscribe to my channel for more:    / @offzawall   💙 Follow me on Facebook:   / off.za.wall   💛 Follow me on Instagram:   / chris.me.i.am   #offthewall #darktourism #unusualplaces #offthebeatentrack #travelcenturyclub #EritreaTrain #SteamTrainAfrica #AsmaraToArbaroba #EritreaTravel #HistoricRailways #AfricanRailway #VintageTrainRide #TravelEritrea #RailwayRevival #AsmaraSteamTrain
