Murshid Samuel Lewis Dargah Opening Blessing Ceremony - August 17, 2014 at Lama Foundation

To bring blessing and harmony to the process of building a beautiful and functional Dargah on Murshid Sam’s grave, we began with invocation in the Lama dome, walked up the hill “on the breath” in silence, shared story around Murshid Sam’s gravesite, danced and then, went down the hill and shared ice cream. During his lifetime when he would initiate a new student, he would often take them out for ice cream. And at meetings he would joke “ALLAH in Heaven,, Baskin and Robbins on earth!”
