Marlene Engelhorn - Policy Talks: Let’s Talk About Tax, Maybe?

Marlene Engelhorn lives and works in Vienna. In 2019, she started publicly advocating for tax justice, co-founded the initiative taxmenow in 2021. Since then, constant public and media presence on the issue, a book published in 2022, a redistributive project (Guter Rat) that gave 25 mio. of her wealth and power through a citizen’s assembly in 2024 and now a theater play touring Germany, Austria and Switzerland 2024 through 2025 („Geld ist Klasse”). The lecture took place at Central European University in Vienna and was part of the Policy Talks Series, organized by the CEU Department of Public Policy, which aims to engage critically with today\u2019s global and local issues.
