It is named after a freshwater lake and wildlife refuge. This lake in Canada Water was originally the name of a Canadian pier, but later it was named Canada Water and is said to be the lake that was mainly used by ships coming from Canada.  Canada Water tube, Overground and bus station is immediately north of the lake, along with Canada Water Library which overhangs the lake and Deal Porter Square. #CanadaWater #SurreyQuay #WalkingTraveller
