The South Coast Track in Tasmania is said to be one of the most challenging hikes in Tasmania. One of the reasons was that it was so remote that I had to fly to a place in the middle of nowhere called Melaleuca. This hike is advised not to be done alone for many good reasons. There were many knee-high river crossings and one boat crossing. The mountain weather was so treacherous that my confidence almost split in half.
