Can You Beat Borderlands 4 WITHOUT Using Guns?

Borderlands is a game of many guns. But today, Marcus Munitions Stock is plummeting, because I won’t be using any guns. And when the vault hunter’s stop shooting, that’s when you know the recession is over, and depression has begun. Can you beat Borderlands 4 without guns. I’m facing this challenge at hard difficulty, and I don’t just mean the in game setting. I won’t be looking anything up, not even if Claptrap emails me a build guide personally. I’m raw dogging the game, going in blind, and hoping for the best. Everything I know about this game, I learned myself. So if there’s a better way to play, I don’t know it. With that in mind, I watched the vault hunter intros closely and picked Rafa, whose Arc-Knives might be my best bet to tear Kairos a new asshole. First thing on the agenda is a prison break before I end up like that poor sucker. Little did I know, I was next in line. There’s nothing like a little spinal surgery to kick start your day, pretty sure that’s actually a Tik Tok challenge now. The Timekeeper uses these spinal bolts to control people, but an almost perfectly timed explosion is my ticket out of here. If it had been 15 seconds sooner, my spine would be slightly more intact, but you won’t hear me saying Arjay botched this rescue mission. I threw a useless hunk of metal on the ground and tried to show off my only attack to Arjay, but he ignored me like you might ignore a child showing off their fidget spinner. That’s fine, he’ll see my moves soon enough. A large room with my first foes, I knew what needed to be done. I weaved side to side, nimble as a gazelle, and immediately got shot. And then shot again. Quite rapidly, I was down, so I crawled and melee’d an enemy to land a kill and get a second wind. Only to wind up back on the floor. Turns out Arjay can revive me, although I couldn’t help but feel a little judged. Arjay is sick of my shit already, and I swear I saw him shake his head with disappointment. I tried sliding at a robot to avoid its bullets, but it broke my ankles first, then my body. Jokes on him, I’m better on my knees anyway. I weaved side to side, nimble as a gazelle, sure that my efforts would keep me safe from harm. They did not. So I crawled and melee’d an enemy to get a second wind, Arjay handed me a re-usable healing device that couldn’t have known the impossible task it had just received. The game taught me to double jump. I took that as a sign to assault my foes from the sky. The prison escape continued with impressive slides and double jumps that seemed to have no effect on whether I was perforated with bullets, but I bet I looked good doing them. I found a confiscated weapons chest. Oh, its just full of weapons. I marked them as junk to be sold later. After brute forcing my way through more enemies, I got a grapple grabber, increasing my mobility. Then Arjay and I slid our way to freedom. Or so I thought. That’s right, he just ditched me in a pile of sludge. I think he expected me to get mauled by manglers but he didn’t realize that double jump mcstabby would actually be effective in combat. As much as I’d like to wipe this act of stupidity under the rug, maybe including it will get less commenters accusing me of pretending this is my first playthrough of the game. For a moment I truly thought that’s where I was supposed to be going. Watching the recording, I don’t understand it any more than you do. Apparently Arjay wasn’t trying to ditch me, he just got caught by a rogue breeze and whisked away, but we’re together again. My inability to track enemies at close range is problematic, but maybe increasing my field of view to max will help. I’m not good at games, I just play them. Arjay said we’d go through that Order plan, then rubbed his body on an actual plant. It took my dumb ass a while to understand he wasn’t talking about an actual plant, but like, a factory plant. Whoops. All the new mobility options in Borderlands 4 helped me get close and clobber enemies with my meat hunks, and I’m basically unstoppable. Please disregard this moment where Arjay’s Medicine skill is the only thing keeping my blood inside my body. Like I said, I’m basically unstoppable. Arjay was dueling a door and sent me to find a stash that had a shield in it. An actually useful item.
