Cindy, real name Mayumi Yamamoto (born May 5, 1958) was a singer active from 1984 to 1997. She released three albums (Love Life, Angel Touch, Don't be afraid) and a compilation album (Surprise). Cindy is also known to have written music for other artists such as Miho Nakayama, she has also been featured on other artists' albums as either main vocals or backing vocals. Eventually, Cindy moved to the United States where she passed away on January 12th 2001.
