Navigating Dubai's DXB with a Kiddo: My 7-Hour Layover Adventure! ✈️🇦🇪 Ever wondered how to make the most of a long layover, especially when traveling with a little one? I recently had a 7-hour stopover at the massive Dubai International Airport (DXB) Terminal 3, and I documented my entire experience to share some tips and tricks with you all! First things first, I kicked off my layover by exploring the incredible Terminal 3. This place is HUGE, and there's so much to see and do! I spent a good chunk of time just walking around, taking in the sights, and marveling at the sheer scale of the airport. It's a great way to stretch your legs and burn off some energy – essential when you have a child in tow! Next up: the food hunt! Dubai Airport boasts an amazing array of dining options. My initial plan was to find a comfortable lounge to relax and grab a bite. I checked out the Marhaba Premium Lounge, and while the food options looked fantastic, it was unfortunately full to the brim. Not ideal when I was hoping for a quiet space to unwind. I tried a few other lounges as well, but faced the same challenge – most were at capacity. After my lounge hunt proved unsuccessful for a quiet spot, I decided to embrace a classic and headed to Shake Shack! And honestly, I'm so glad I did. As a massive fan of their burgers, it was a delicious and satisfying meal that hit the spot perfectly. Sometimes, a familiar comfort food is exactly what you need during a layover! With a full belly, it was time for some much-needed rest. This is where the airport truly shines for long layovers! I opted for the airport hotel, where I managed to get in a solid 4-5 hours of sleep. It made a world of difference for both me and my child, allowing us to recharge completely before our next flight.
